Mr Geoff Denison Auskor Australasia was established in 2004 and is now owned and operated by Mr. Geoff Denison, Australasia's most experienced student accommodation operator. Geoff began his management career in international hotels, training with such world class hotel chains as Intercontinental, Sheraton and Hotel Nikko, both locally and overseas, including two years in Japan. During his time in Japan, Geoff was successful in obtaining an advanced level of conversational Japanese which he continues to develop and enhance today through ongoing business relationships with Japanese clients. He made his transition from hotel to student accommodation management in 1997 when he accepted the position of General Manager, UniLodge on Broadway, Sydney ( 515 beds ), a role he held for a period of four years, before moving to Melbourne to develop, open and operate Le Student 8 Melbourne ( 497 beds ). Geoff has extensive experience in all facets of student accommodation management and project development, including pre opening planning, operational design, international student recruitment, general business analysis and the day to day responsibilities of managing a purpose built student accommodation facility. Mr. Denison enjoys an excellent profile within the Australian commercial property development sector and is also highly regarded in the Higher Education sector for his involvement in international student recruitment. Geoff was recently invited to join a local government delegation to official visit to Hefei, China on a trade mission to open direct student recruitment channels and encourage offshore commercial investment in a large scale student accommodation development project in the Victorian municipality. As testament to Geoff's reputation as an expert in the field of student accommodation management, Mr. Denison is regularly called upon to provide opinion by Australia's leading newspaper publications including " The Australian Financial Review ", " The Australian - Higher Education Supplement " and The Age - Domain ".
